The Author

Lakeytha G. Clayton is a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She has been happily married to her partner for life, Eric Clayton, for 18 yrs. and the mother of 2 amazing children, Eryka and Caleb. Lakeytha serves faithfully in leadership capacity alongside her husband who is the pastor of St. Luke/New City of Zion COGIC in Baton Rouge, LA, and St. John Elizabeth Temple COGIC in Bogalusa, LA. She is a graduate of  Louisiana State University (Alexandria, LA) where she received an Associate of Science degree; a graduate of Northwestern State University (Natchitoches, LA) where she received a Bachelor of Social Work degree; and a graduate of Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, LA) where she received a Master of Social Work Degree. 

Lakeytha is a lifelong member of the Church of God of Christ and is a Licensed Evangelist Missionary. Lakeytha has 18 years of experience in the Social Work profession. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of a private therapy practice, LGM Restoration & Wellness Services, LLC, that specializes in women’s mental health, counseling women 18 yrs. and older. Lakeytha is also a published author. She published her first book, Loving God’s Masterpiece: 7 Strategies to Rebuilding Your Self-Esteem and Self-Image, in 2018.  She published her first e-book, I Am Not Crazy: A Survival Guide for Individuals Who Live with Mental Illness, in 2019. Lakeytha also had the privilege of becoming a co-author in the global women’s devotional, Promise: God’s Assurance on the Cross for Our Crown, in 2020. In her spare time, she enjoys writing articles for her Christian blog for women, Woman2Woman with Lakeytha (www.woman2womanwithlakeytha.com).

Lakeytha is passionate regarding her role as a vessel in God’s Kingdom. She considers herself a Kingdom Woman after God’s own heart and considers her multiple roles as Kingdom assignments. She views herself as a Kingdom wife, Kingdom mother, Kingdom author, and Kingdom therapist! God has given her a passion regarding ministry, specifically with women, and the gift of being transparent during ministry regarding her life experiences to assure others that they can be all God intends them to be and they can live a life of purpose! Lakeytha lives by the motto “God specializes in making the impossible possible!” She continues to move forward in the Kingdom standing firm on the scripture Luke 1:45(AMP), “And blessed (spiritually fortunate and favored by God) is she who believed and confidently trusted that there would be a fulfillment of things that were spoken to her (by the angel sent) from the Lord.”
